Gasoil, also known as diesel fuel, is one of the most actively traded oil products in the world. In terms of efficiency Diesel fuel is more valuable than gasoline, as it offers about 15% more energy by volume in comparison to gasoline fuel.
Applications
Diesel, in general, is any liquid fuel used in diesel engines, whose fuel ignition takes place, without any spark, as a result of compression of the inlet air mixture and then injection of fuel. Diesel engines have found broad use as a result of higher thermodynamic efficiency and thus fuel efficiency in comparison to gasoline. One other main user of Gasoil is the construction industry, where excavators, electricity generators, cranes, trucks and lots of other heavy machinery consume this fuel.
